Ensemble Energy takes Ensemble Solar a step further, adding Encharge batteries to keep the power on during an outage, even when the sun isn’t shining. This keeps the home microgrid amped up 24×7. With Ensemble Energy the power is always on when the sun isn’t shining at night or during an outage.
Enphase plans to introduce Ensemble™ technology by 2020. With Ensemble, homes become entirely grid-agnostic, able to draw power from their system withoutneeding constant access to the utility grid — making sure a household is never left in the dark, even during a blackout.
How it works….
The Encharge AC battery is created with Lithium Ferrous Phosphate cells. A battery that is safe modular and easy to install. Available in 3.3 kWh and 10 kWh configurations.
Ensemble technology for battery backup configurations is fully compatible with IQ 7™ and IQ 6™ series microinverters, making retrofit upgrades as simple as new installations.
The Enpower Smart Switch works with your entire system to automatically and seamlessly ensure the most efficient source of power. You can use it to integrate with the Enphase Encharge battery, the IQ microinverters, external generators, or the grid itself.
The Ensemble Technology keeps your system always on, the IQ Combiner keeps you always connected. This IoT device allows for communication with your installer and Enphase to ensure servicing and, enabling software updates as they are made available
Underneath the solar panels and inside the batteries you will find Enphase IQ series of microinverters.
Finally, the Enlighten App gives you the control in the palm of your hand and from your Mac or PC so you can keep an eye on your production or consumption.
