At Solar Partners NZ we are very privilege to work with the very best brands in Solar. So, it was delightful to welcome and share some time with Dustin Haddock, Vice President of Research and Development from S-5! to New Zealand last week.

It was a great opportunity for Bernie and Peter to discuss future plans and strategies for both companies in the APAC region. Berne and Dustin undertook some visits to our clients to show them the benefits of S-5!. A clear highlight was one of our clients completing a 53 panel install in 3 hours with S-5! Showing the power of railles solutions for Solar.

It was very beneficial to get a better understanding of their company, team and full product range and spend some fishing time with Dunstin.

S-5! Wins Award for standing seam solar mounts…

Their continue focus on R & D to keep their products out in front of the competition is very evident, and proven by recently being awarded the Metal Construction Association (MCA) Chairman’s Award for metal construction projects of 2019 in the residential category on a California solar project.

S-5! was recognized at the MCA Annual Winter Meeting Awards Dinner for its metal roof attachment solutions. The criteria included overall appearance, the significance of metal in the project, innovative use of metal and the role of metal in achieving project objectives.

Since sustainability was a major consideration MAD Architecture selected S-5! attachment solutions to mount the solar panels to the standing seams, including its S-5-N clamps, which feature an angled setscrew and a clamp insert to ensure a fit whether placed on older or new and wider nail strip profiles.

They liked the idea of eliminating multiple penetrations through the roof to install the PV racks, and the S-5!’s zero-penetration clamps, designed to last the life of the roof, would not violate the roof integrity.
